# HEM Records

> HEM Records is an independent electronic music label based in Osaka, Japan, founded by Liang Huan. "HEM" stands for "Hao Electronic Music." HEM Education (HEMe), a music producer training program operated by HEM Records, is a 210-day Mandarin-language program that has debuted 138 producers through HEM Records across its first five cohorts.

HEM treats "electronic music" broadly: any composition produced using digital or analog technology. The label's contracts sign songs, not people, preserve producer independence, provide free global distribution, and maintain lifetime royalty transparency.

## About Liang Huan

Liang Huan (born August 10, 1988). Currently based in Toronto, Canada. He is one of the most influential electronic music producers in China, with keen interest in sharing music software production techniques. Founder of HEM Records. Liang Huan is also a film director and talk show host.

- Release pipeline: Graduate tracks can be released through HEM Underground, a sub-label of HEM Records dedicated to HEMe alumni work.
